The Whovian quest continues! Tonight it is the turn of the Third Doctor played by Jon Pertwee in the 1970 TV season of Doctor Who. Unlike the first two incarnations of the Doctor this regeneration was a man of action, quite ready to solve his problems with his brawn as well as his brain. Trapped on Earth by the Time Lords the Doctor joins forces with UNIT (UNified Intelligence Taskforce, or United Nations Intelligence Taskforce) in a series of more terrestrial adventures. Over the next eleven days I will be producing the Doctor from Doctor Who as a Cuddly Sketch Card and posting them here as I get them done. First one out of the gate is the very first Doctor played by William Hartnell in the Doctor Who TV series in 1963. This illustration was finished in black ink and watercolor and because we only ever saw the first Doctor in black and white I restricted my palette to grays. Continue reading
