A Series of Events and Observations

Karma Kit Two

I assure you Karma was very much alive when I took this picture

For the latter part of this week I had a series of observations and events lined up to blog about. Sadly, the Kitten I rescued from exposure and whom we named Rayne Karma died suddenly on Thursday morning from causes unknown, although we think her body already endured too much and just shut down.  We did all we could, just this time there was really nothing that could help her. Karma Kit born ? died Oct 7, 2010 wish I knew you longer.

This put paid to the observations I wanted to make, gone were the comments on the anti-socialness of texting in company, how the quality of driving hasn’t improved in Maryland since the introduction of hands free, the insanity, or more truthfully the plain dumbness of election coverage, watching the baby boomers influenced by the politics of fear are selfishly march this country into a reflection of what there parents fought against, how news in the USA long forgotten how to report actual news, the joy of seeing Apple sued for infringing some one else’s patient and finally how I would really like to be at New York Comic Con this weekend.

None of this seems important right now, life will go on, the world will keep turning and if you blink you will miss too much. Onwards…

The Rescue of Karma Kitten…

Meet Karma Kit

Meet Karma Kit, a very special Kitten I found on the side of the county side road last night half in, half out a very deep puddle. Karma had her head and front paws just out the water and was meowing fairly pathetically. A very lucky Kit because 1 minute either way I would have missed her. I stopped the Jeep, got out figuring if she ran she would be okay, Karma just let me pick her up, carry her to the Jeep and take her home.  The night was spent dribbling watered milk and finger feeding some wet food.  She spent the night in our older Cats bed covered in an old towel.

Now He is Eleven!!!

Kids... Get them a phone and you disappear...Been a very hectic day… Today my son Lance turned Eleven!!! Wow… Eleven!!! I remember him being very tiny, you blink and they grow up too fast. That’s a picture of my son above, we got him a basic cellphone for his Birthday, which I am sure at the time of its release over a year ago was the pinnacle of cellphone tech, and like every kid of his generation there is no world outside of it now…

Here comes Earl… Luckily I have Comics to Read…

Here comes Earl!!! A fairly large catagory three hurricane that is coming our way. All reports say its going to sideswipe us, but I checked the 1-2-3 column and the sideswipe is still going to hit us with Tropical Storm force winds.

Now I’ve gone through Tropical Storm Isabel when it hit here, so I know thats going to be wild and woolie to say the least. So tomorrow is going to be spent securing lose items just in case its gets a little too wild, and things start to fly!!!

A Funny Thing Happened Down my Local Chip Shop

Last night, tired, a little brow beaten and wanting to get home and rest. We hit up the best local Fish and Chip shop that seems to exist on the East Coast of the USA – The Original Fish and Chip Shop Great place, great fish and nice chips (re – USA French Fries).

Anyhow, I got a most unusually offer… The owner Andy asked me if I wanted to do some voice actor work for his next Radio Ad, because well… I’m English and he needs that authentic accent. I was a little amazed, and of course said yes… So watch out, you might just be hearing me soon on your local Radio air waves. Pretty cool news, eh?
