Drawing Outside Your Comfortzone – The 2016 Art Of Nick Davis

Hugs From Tristan The Teddy BearWelcome to the last ‘Drawing Outside Your Comfortzone’ for 2016, the series of posts that exist to prod you into just drawing!

Now, I have never once pretended to be a good artist, through trial and error, and a lot of practice I’ve managed to make a few things work – with only a few more hours left in 2016 and it is time to take a look at the art I have drawn, sketched, and attempted over 2016.

Warning… Art of sorts ahead!!!

The 2016 Art Of Nick Davis

Over 2016 I have drawn over 197 pieces of art (not all of it is scanned in) and the biggest leap of faith I have ever done was evolving my art style middle of the year to a more chibi effect and trying to simplify my lines – you will see this below when you go through the gallery. The result a much more dynamic look to my art and more comfortable style that I can really get to grips with. All the art below has been colored using blended Derwent Inktense pencils. Enjoy, and please let me know what you think.

Adventures Ahead!
