When I was a kid I ran across the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Roleplaying Game about these Ninja’s that were also Turtles I loved he upside down concept and borrowed a couple of comics from a friend. It wasn’t long after that the cartoon appeared in the UK and they were renamed Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles as you were not allowed to call kids things Ninja related names. But I digress…I used to draw these guys all the time when I was a kid and amazed an IT class mate, then the entire class and my Teacher with a surprisingly good impromptu demonstration on how to draw using Super-Paint (anyone remember that?), using simple shapes and a Ninja Turtle as an example. Now over 25 years later I picked up a pencil with the goal to draw these guys again. This illustration is of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello, and is finished in black ink, marker pen and charcoal pencil on tan paper.
